Es necesario disponer de una cuenta de Google Payments y de acceso a Internet para canjear la tarjeta regalo. Utilizable para comprar saldo de Google Play que permite la compra de artículos permitidos únicamente en Google Play. No es utilizable para hardware ni para determinadas suscripciones. Pueden aplicarse otras restricciones. Las tarjetas no tienen comisión alguna ni fecha de caducidad. Salvo que lo exija la ley, la tarjeta no puede canjearse por dinero en efectivo ni por otras tarjetas, recargarse, reembolsarse, combinarse con otros saldos no pertenecientes a Google Play ni revenderse, intercambiarse o transferirse a título oneroso.
